Residential home in Minnesota being re-roofed — contractor installing new asphalt shingles on a steep-pitched roof

Financing a new roof

A roof is a 25–50 year investment. Here are the ways we make it affordable — from paying in full to monthly financing to working with your insurance adjuster.

Why Finance With Us

Straightforward payment options

No surprises, no bait-and-switch. Understand your payment options before you sign anything.

Flexible payment structures

Pay in full, use milestone payments, finance through a third-party lender, or coordinate with your insurance claim.

No hard sell

We explain your options before you sign. No pressure to choose a specific payment path — pick what works for your situation.

Pre-qualify without credit impact

Third-party financing pre-qualification uses a soft credit inquiry — no impact to your credit score when exploring your options.

MN §325E.66 compliant

On insurance-claim work, we follow Minnesota's Storm Damage Contractor Law — no deductible rebates, written disclosures required.

Payment Structures

Choose what fits your situation

Mix and match where it makes sense — for example, financing part of a job and paying the balance in cash.

Best rate

Pay in full

Check or ACH bank transfer — no card processing fees passed to you. Customers who pay in full at contract signing receive a 1–2% discount off the total job price. No interest, no monthly payment, no financing terms to track.

Milestone payments

10% deposit at contract signing. 40% at materials delivery (typically 1–2 days before install). 50% at job completion and final walkthrough. No interest, no fees — just a payment schedule tied to project milestones.

Financing through a third-party lender

For customers who prefer monthly payments, we can connect you with a third-party financing provider. Term options typically include 6, 12, 24, and 60 months. Rates vary by credit profile. Pre-qualification uses a soft credit inquiry — no impact to your credit score.

Insurance claim pay

For storm-damage jobs where your homeowner insurance is covering the work: we coordinate directly with your adjuster, document the damage, and align our scope with the claim. You pay your deductible only — we do not waive, rebate, or absorb deductibles (MN §325E.66).

Common Questions

Financing FAQ

Can I finance part of the job and pay the rest in cash?
Yes. You can split the payment — finance a portion through the lender and pay the balance in cash or ACH. Just let us know at contract signing and we will structure the invoice accordingly.
What credit score do I need to qualify for financing?
Requirements depend on the lender and the term length. Pre-qualification uses a soft credit inquiry, so checking your options does not affect your credit score. Approved ranges vary — the lender will confirm your rate and approval at pre-qualification.
Can I finance an insurance-claim job's deductible?
Usually yes. If your insurance covers the main job cost, you can finance your deductible through the same third-party financing program. Per Minnesota law (§325E.66), we cannot waive or absorb your deductible — but you can finance it separately.
Are there prepayment penalties on the financing?
No. You can pay off the financed balance early at any time without penalty. We recommend confirming this directly with the lender at pre-qualification, as terms are set by them, not by Silver Loon Roofing.
